Pastor Roy’s Book Reviews
From Pastor Roy:
The list below is a compilation of the best books that I’ve read on a variety of Biblical and Christian Living subjects. I am not only an avid reader, but I am also a natural speed-reader; so I get through A LOT of books in any given year.
Although I wind up reading a lot of junk, I do find some real gems occasionally. I don’t sell books, nor do I have any that deals with the authors or publishers. I simply want to pass along some REALLY good suggestions for reading material that is some of the best I have found on the various subjects covered. This list will be updated and added to periodically, so check it out every so often!
Thus Saith The Lord, by John Bevere:
The best book I’ve ever read on the modernprophetic movement, and on the BIBLICAL definition and operation of the gift of prophecy as opposed to much of the counterfeit junk that is being foisted off on the church.
The Gospel According To The Apostle AND The Vanishing Conscience:
Both by John MacArthur. Excellent books on LIVING OUT your Christianity, and on the role of personal conviction in pursuit of holiness.

Celebrating The Wrath Of God, by Jim McGuiggan:
Deals in a wonderfully Biblical way with the on-going question of suffering and loss in the life of the Christian. A GREAT anti-dote to the everything is always going to be roses school of preaching that seems to be so prevalent now days.

Public Education AGAINST America, by Marlin Maddoux:
An in-depth analysis of how our children are being conditioned to reject the claims of Biblical Christianity by the public school system methodology. VERY WELL RESEARCHED.

Jewish Roots, A Foundation Of Biblical Theology, by Dan Juster:
Cover the theological basis of Messianic Judaism, the movement to restore the Jewishness of the Gospel. Covers the Biblical truths of this movement, as well as the pitfalls that can arise of mis-applying these truths.

Christian Ethics In Plain Language, by Kerby Anderson:
Equips us with Biblical guidelines to navigate the sometimes confusing issues of modern society; such as Euthanasia, Cohabitation, Gambling, Media and Entertainment, and many more. Concise but very complete.
